The Fishdigger (Rybokop) - The Underground Catch

The Fishdigger (Rybokop) is a personal dark fantasy project set in a world where fish live beneath the earth instead of in water. The name combines the Russian words for “fish” and “to dig.”

The main character is a fisherman of a very different kind. Instead of a fishing rod, he carries a shovel and a pickaxe, descending into abandoned mines, buried settlements, and forgotten underground passages in search of the rarest and most dangerous species.

This illustration captures one of his encounters - when the catch turns out to be much larger, and far more terrifying, than expected.
